Daytona Beach Golf Club provides golfers with two 18 hole golf courses to choose from.
The South Course at Daytona Beach Golf Club is the original 18 holes and is a Donald Ross design. Much of the originality of Mr. Ross' design is evident. It is a very sporty golf course; the tee shot being very forgiving, but approaches are demanding. Florida Oaks and tall pines with a little water are a great feature on this golf course
The North Course at Daytona Beach Golf Club was built and designed by Slim Deathridge in 1946. In 1997, the golf course was re-built. All greens, bunkers, and tees were redone. The result is a very challenging golf experience that winds its way through dense Florida oak and pine. There is more water in play and the greens offer more undulation on this course compared to the North, which adds to a greater overall challenge.
The North Course is generally recognized as the tougher test of the two courses at Dayton Beach Golf Club. |
