Turtle Creek Golf Club was built in 1971 and was designed by Robert Renaud, a golf
course architect who worked throughout the Southeast and particularly in Tennessee. Turtle Creek is
a heavily landscaped, traditional Old Florida course with well-manicured fairways and greens.
The design of Turtle Creek Golf Club gives the golfer a feel as if they are
walking a trail in a tropical forest. Turtle Creek is noted as one of Brevard County’s finest courses
providing golfers with beautiful fairways that meander through majestic pines, wet oaks and palms that
will remind the player of the beauties of the Florida that used to be. As you play the golf course, you
will feel as if you are in a nature preserve. You may even spot wild turkeys, alligators, and sandhill
cranes and many turtles, hence the name Turtle Creek. Golfers will enjoy this 18 hole layout
that is a shotmaker’s course demanding lots of thinking and strategy, not just long drives. |
