Designed by David S. Harman, the Shingle Creek golf course opened in 2003 and has five sets of tees with yardage ranging from a sporty 5100 yards from the forward the tees to over 7200 yards from the bruising tips.
Shingle Creek is a fairly recent addition to golf in Orlando and takes its name from the pristine creek, which traverses the property. Early Central Florida settlers, circa 1800, were drawn to the area by the abundance of game, fishing, ancient cypress trees, and of course, the beautiful creek.
Shingle Creek Golf Club was voted one of the "Top 40 Best New Golf Courses in the U.S." by Golfweek Magazine and also voted "One of America’s Top 100 Pro Shops in 2006" by Golf Shop magazine. |
