The Championship Landings Course at the Wellington Country Club, was built in 1983. The golf course was designed by Ted McAnulis, and was later redesigned by PGA star Johnny Miller and became the site of the PGA Tour's Chrysler Team Championship for a number of years.
The Championship Landings course plays at almost 6,900 yards from the tips and has hosted qualifying events for the USGA and PGA. But with 5 sets of tees it will allow players of any skill level find their comfort zone here. This is a golf course that a weekend amateur will love playing again and again; but with trickier pin placements and championship tee boxes, it has proved a challenge for the pros.
The wide fairways with strategically placed hazards provide all golfers with beautiful scenery. Adjacent canals and lakes frame many holes and feature natural habitat and tropical foliage such as oleanders, bougainvillea, bottle brush, croton and majestic oak trees together with countless palm trees, all of which truly enhances the player's excitement on this ever challenging Landings Course. |
